As of April 1, 2006, JAL no longer accepts 'pet in cabin' requests. This is part of our continuing efforts to improve the cabin environment for passengers with allergies. Although pets are not accepted for cabin travel, they may still travel in the aircraft's climate-controlled baggage compartment. 'Pet in cabin' reservations made before the deadline for flights on or after April 1, 2006, are exempt from this rule. Passengers who made reservations before April 1 may still carry their pets with them in the cabin as previously arranged.
Official guide animals are exempt from this rule.
